"AN UNFORGETTABLE SHORE LEAVE"

The Second Officer of the crude oil tanker UMLMA sent a note and some pictures from a quck visit to Philadelphia while the vessel was berthed at Paulsboro last week.

VOLUNTEER APPRECIATION

SCI Board president Captain David Cuff, vice president Michael Cureton, and executive director Helene Pierson hosted an appreciation dinner for a group of volunteers last week on the Moshulu.

SCI operates with a very small staff and relies on volunteers for help as Chaplains, host transporters, and office workers, among other responsibilities.

Seafarers sometimes contact us by Facebook to request a WIFI hot spot. We respond quickly, but in this case Dan Dolan, our new host transporter, got there just when the message was sent.
