 | Janice Estrada, Seafarer Shopper add email address Janice joined us in early 2021 to manage the logistically demanding mission of shopping for seafarers who are unable to leave their vessels during the COVID pandemic. She has a social service background, has experience as an Uber/Lyft driver, and is a Catholic Eucharistic Minister. |
 | Nikki Green, Communications Volunteer ngreen@sciphiladelphia.org Nikki divides her time between Florida and her home on the Philadelphia waterfront. She works for SCI year-round, responsible for updates to our electronic communications and coordination of the Ditty Bag program. |
 | Alex Reale, Digital Marketing Volunteer Alex worked with us part time to help organize and update our online presence, including a major revamp of our website in 2020. We’re happy he continues to lend his expertise as a volunteer. |
SHIP VISITORS/HOST TRANSPORTERS
 | Jasper DelCarlino, Operations Manager jdelcarlino@sciphiladelphia.org Jasper is a former deckhand for Reinauer Tugs and knows the maritime world very well. He has management and operations experience as a former manager of the El Bar in Philadelphia. Jasper joined us as a part time ship visitor and was promoted to Operations Manager in 2019. |

 | Tony Coppola, Ship Visitor Tony has been around SCI for quite a while after leaving his career owning a hardware store. In addition to working as a ship visitor he has the tools and expertise to fix anything around the building. |

 | Al Griffiths, Volunteer Ship Visitor Al works in the Fairless Hills area and volunteers on our behalf at some of the northern-most terminals, which are a long drive for our Philadelphia-based staff. Al’s interest in serving seafarers began with Chaplain David Reid, who talked enthusiastically about SCI , and Al calls it an “easy decision” to volunteer. |
 | Roy Lucchese, Volunteer Ship Visitor Roy’s maritime experience includes working for Reinauer Transportation, and he volunteers when he is off-rotation from his tugboat job. |
 | Jennifer Roach-Dixon, Volunteer Ship Visitor Jen is a pastry chef and cake decorator by trade and loves anything to do with boats and water. She enjoys whitewater rafting and kayaking as well as paddling on a women’s dragon boating team. |
 | Annie Thomas, Volunteer Ship Visitor Annie grew up helping seafarer missions in Glasgow, Scotland and has worked with us for many years. She is a former surgical nurse and an experienced sailor. |
CHAPLAINS
 | Father Efren Esmilla Father Efren is pastor of St. James Parish in Elkins Park, Pa. Born and educated in the Philippines, he is especially important in our service to the large number of seafarers who are Filipino. |
 | Rev. John Gardner Rev. John Gardner is pastor of the Episcopal Church of the Holy Trinity in Philadelphia on Rittenhouse Square. He and his wife, Rev. Rachel Gardner, are deeply involved in the Center City community, especially caring for the homeless population. Rev. John is a former SCI board member and now volunteers as a ship[ visitor. |
 | Rev. David Reid MA FNI David is a Fellow of the Nautical Institute, a former chief officer in the British and Canadian Merchant Marine, and author of Eight Down, a study of eight maritime tragedies in the last 42 years, as well as articles published in the Mare Report and the Beacon. He divides his time between the US and France, and works as an SCI volunteer when here. |
