SANTA'S SLEIGH IS A BOAT!

Most of our Ditty Bags get delivered to seafarers by our ship visitors/host transporters, but this week Santa stepped off his sleigh onto a boat to distribute some in person.

Thanks to McAllister Towing and River Services for providing two launches, to Santa himself (aka SCI Board Member Rev. John Gardner, Rector of Holy Trinity Rittenhouse), and to Tony Coppola and Jasper DelCarlino for photos.

Happy 50th Anniversary South Jersey Port Corporation.

As part of the celebration, SJPC personnel collected for and helped deliver seafarer Christmas ditty bags. Today, Operation Supervisors Doug Miller and Ed Kuedtke presented the gifts (that's what the seafarers call them) with us to the scrap ship Curia which is alongside at the Balzano Terminal. Looking forward to working with you all for the next 50!

We are grateful to W. Payne Advisors who donated the pies and at the same time supported fundraising efforts by MANNA, an organization that provides meals to people at acute nutritional risk due to illnesses like HIV/AIDS, cancer, renal disease, and diabetes.

The Crystal Symphony, the ship on which our host transporter Joshua R Simonetti works, went to the rescue of a cargo ship yesterday whose Captain had collapsed. The Captain of the Stellar Walvis Bay is now in stable condition, still undergoing tests in Cartegena, Columbia. Via the ITF Inspection for the region, we are getting updates from the owner's representative. Sending our prayers for answers and continuing recovery. 🙏🛳 Great job Crystal Cruises! ...
